Associated Black Charities 2026 Gala: “An Evening of Love and Liberation”
Baltimore, MD — Associated Black Charities is proud to announce the 2026 ABC Gala: An Evening of Love and Liberation, taking place on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at The Hall at Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland.
As ABC’s annual signature fundraiser, the gala will bring together hundreds of leaders, advocates, philanthropists, corporate partners, community organizations, and changemakers for an unforgettable evening celebrating the power of Black communities, collective action, joy, culture, and liberation.
This year’s celebration will honor four extraordinary organizations whose work continues to create transformational change across Baltimore and beyond: The Nolita Project, No Boundaries Coalition, Tendea Family, and No Struggle No Success. Guests will also enjoy an unforgettable evening of entertainment headlined by Winslowdynasty, bringing energy, culture, and celebration to one of the region’s most anticipated nights of community and collective impact.
“This year’s gala is a celebration of what becomes possible when communities choose love over division, liberation over limitation, and collective action over silence,” said Chrissy M. Thornton, ABC President and CEO. “At a time when so many communities are facing uncertainty and inequity, ABC remains committed to building pathways for Black communities to thrive. This evening is about honoring those doing the work every single day while investing in a future rooted in justice, opportunity, and hope.”
Funds raised through the gala directly support ABC’s work as an economic empowerment and racial equity organization focused on advancing economic mobility, leadership development, workforce equity, financial empowerment, community engagement, and long-term systems change across Maryland. Through initiatives including the The Ladder, Board Pipeline Leadership Development Program, ABC Academy, Workforce Collaborative, Black Progress Lab, and community-centered convenings, ABC continues to create opportunities that strengthen Black communities and dismantle barriers created by structural racism.
The evening will begin with a number of receptions and the main gala program, dinner, performances, and celebration will begin at 7:00 PM and continue throughout the evening. Guests are encouraged to experience the full celebration, connect with leaders and changemakers from across the region, and take part in one of Baltimore’s most anticipated nights of community and collective impact.
The 2026 ABC Gala is made possible through the generous support of sponsors and community partners including BGE, The Cordish Companies, GBMC, Shelter Foundation, Whiting Turner, University of Maryland Medical System, Truist, M&T Bank, CareFirst, Annie E. Casey Foundation, SECU, Johns Hopkins Federal Credit Union, McDermott Will & Schulte LLP, Neutron Engineering, Johns Hopkins University and Medicine, Janet Hall Foundation, PNC, and Planned Parenthood of Maryland.
